Why is it, when you say you're from Sicily...?

The Mafia (Cosa Nostra) emerged in Sicily. Cosa Nostra means "our thing." I see your point how it is offensive. Since the Mafia originated there people are just being their typical ignorant selfs and stereotyping everyone who is Sicilian.
