African and eurasian plate location?

where is the exact location where the african and eurasion plate meets, there are pictures that show they meet in the mediterreanen sea and others that show they meet under sicily, I live in an island in the meditterrenean and im really worried about this because a lot are saying that it is possible that the african plate is moving towards the eurasian plate and im worried what the possible effects would be. thanks a lot and please help
