Ramadan: Why have we resulted in division?

I would call that a statement of ignorance , because there were no Shias until much later , and Ali was not even a contender for being 1st Caliph, it was between Abu Bakr & Abu Obaidah , so don't make things up. Ali himself gave allegiance to Abu Bakr the same day. You talk about only relying on the Quran yet here you are making up stuff. Sunnis are not a sect , it is simply a description of Muslims who do not follow sects, as Shias do. Do not believe every thing you read on the net. A lot of translations are bad.
