What is a great Italian route to take if you have a month over the summer to travel?

I travelled Italy for a month a couple of years ago. This was my route, Venice, Verona (you can see Romeo and juliets balcony), genoa, Milan, Pisa, Rome, amalfi coast, while in amalfi I did trips to isle of Capri, and Pompeii.. You can also visit the small towns around amalfi like positano, which is nice. I loved all the places I went except Milan, I found it over rated..
